The walking pulp and twig sculpture - made from wire, twigs, found wooden panel and newspaper pulp 2019
_JPG.jpg)
As I walk alone I discover the spaces around me. I walk as much as I can, until my feet hurt. Undistracted, I absorb smells and sounds. I eat with my eyes.
In Epping forest and in the woods in Canterbury;
I notice the twigs. Like Merz, twigs are everywhere, but somehow unseen.
I decide I want to make art using twigs. This is an on-going exploration.
A piece made from paper pulp, cardboard, plaster and the abandoned house-plant found on my street - later to be modelled into Awkward silence.
